Modern society! Just look how bad society has gotten in recent years. People are more self involved and they just don’t care anymore what happens to those around them. Criminals run the streets.
Neither. It’s ignorance.
Wake up pal! Your modern society is destructing religion and polluting politic.
Religion has been around for centuries. There have always been clashes between religious groups but societies as a whole have tended to survive regardless. However, certain political influences have brought about the destruction or near destruction of complete societies, often with very little effort. Take for example the switch in Russia from a monarchy to communism. The entire society was altered, nearly every aspect of people’s lives were changed, all because of a political move. Take the Taliban. While they are a religious group, they needed to use political power to take over an entire country and completely change the society that had thrived there. You can also look at Israel and Palestine. Their religions remain in tact and seperate, but because of a political manuever their societies are in constant conflict. While religion is part of the base for their disagreements, it was a political issue that had the most influence on their situation.
Both are equally destructive to modern society as they have the same agendas in mind. Both create division of the masses. This causes tensions which in turn trigger wars which generate huge profits while eliminating more humans from the planet at the same time.
INTERESTING………BECAUSE BOTH ARE AN INDIVIDUAL PREFERENCE…………BUT I HAVE TO SAY POLITICS, I SAY THAT BECAUSE AS WE ALL CHRISTIANS OR INTERESTED OTHERS ALREADY KNOW HOW THE WORLD ARE GOING TO END AND THATS BY FIRE SO ;THERFORE THATS WHY I FEEL POLITICS ARE MORE MODERN DISTRUCTIVE.
Actually, you are.
Religious politicians or religious politics
When religion and politics are combined together
Religion, but only just barely.
Unfortunately, religion and politics (against our Constitution) tend to get intermingled.
There are some places in our country (no joke) that atheists cannot hold political office — HELLO TEXAS! ARE YOU REALLY SO “PATRIOTIC”? — can we get any more unconstitutional than this?
“There is a way that seems right to man but in the end leads to destruction” It seemed right to Adam and Eve and they were not even living in a modern society so why would you think it would be capable now?
Also, religion was not invented by man but by Satan and he had to use deception to have man follow him. God does not need religion nor did He create it but man will create a philosophical ideology to reach God.
NEWS FLASH:
God hates RELIGION! All God wants from us is our hearts and minds. Anything more into this is religion. Otherwise, Christ work on the Cross is not complete and He did not die for us.
To answer the question directly: Politics is the absence of Godly consensus in our daily living while Religion is the absense of God period. Religion is man’s attempt to reach God while God already did everything for him. We find it too difficult to accept the simplicity of His nature. We always feel we have to do something more than what the scriptures say. Religion and Politics are both devastating to us. Both try to make people rely on the people at the heads of these entities. It is in God’s opinion that if man truly served man while man judged his own motives then we would have no need for politics or religion. All we would need is God.
Both, Politics and Religion can be categorized as destructive to our modern society. Asking this Question is similar to asking, Which taste better, Spaghetti or Lasagna?
It depends on who you ask, some would probally say that man’s political policies have set us back and has hindered our growth as a nation, who in recent years has become predominantly calculating, ruthless and self destructive.
While others would say that religion has accounted for more games being played in the lives of unsuspecting Men, Women and Children
who think they know who God is and they are saved.
it is most destructive when religion and politics combine.
