He brokered the only peace accord in the Middle East that has held. Presidents after him have tried and failed. So far our present policies in Middle East have done nothing but get people killed. Funny how talking back then accomplished more than guns. If someone wants to kill you isn't it better to talk him out of it rather than getting you both killed? Carter has migrated to the far left with Obama, and they are both out of touch with reality and deserve each other. I might not agree with every position he takes on every issue, but at least he tries to practice what he preaches, unlike many of the hypocritical morons currently running the country.
