    That is a good question as far as economy it had a effect as free trade has with America no labour cost provides a high profit for the business owners and kills competition. As for social issues many indentured servants and free whites and blacks were mating in the law were passed to preserve slavery here is a good historical article

    Good question,well first question. America become a large industrial nation -through its doctrine of 300 years of slavery,it was thorough its serves and ideology that made the US what it is today,without it , i doubt it would have the financial clout today…..imagine not paying millions of slaves for 300 years,just feeding them on measly rations,and housing them in cheap ready made houses.
    After 1865, the Afro – Americans were still searching for freedom within human rights – same pay conditions without segreagtion etc….The mainifestation of their voices eventaully broke out through gospel music,blues,jazz and rock n roll. Their greatest contributon to America was through the Arts – music,dance,theatre and later literature, which hence in later years iinfluenced new movements throughout the world,in the meantime raking in billions of dollars for record companies.
