Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Theresa. Pope John Paul II. For obvious reasons.

Peace is dependant upon the little people who get delt a hand that seems to really suck and they play it very well. I dont think any person in a position of fame or power is ever really the worlds greatest contributor to world peace. I think an example of this would be the kid who grows up in a city where the majority of the kids that grow up in that city turn out to be gangsters. Instead of being a gangster even when they get beat up for it they choose to become something that doesnt support the system that is making the problem and find a way to help the community of people trying to get into a new type of system that should work better.

But that was looks good answer. The real answer is we are all contributors to world peace and to say one of us is trying harder then the other is a judgement we probably shouldn’t make. Infact if we start to think in terms of who gives more effort to the goal of world peace we may very well start a war. So I think it is best to say that everyone trys to do the best they can even if it doesnt look like it from our prospective. Would you want people saying you didnt try your best?

At the sake of sounding trite, you would be hard pressed to go further than Jesus. When you read about his life and what he said, he fundamentally changed the world and the idea of conflict.

first step to world peace: eliminating discrimination. Rosa Parks stood up for what she believed in. There’s so many more though.
