Do you believe world peace is attainable?

No Picture asked:

Do you think that we, as humans, can ever bring about ‘world peace’? By ‘world peace’ I mean no wars as well as peace in our personal relationships. There will always be conflicts arising, but do you think that we will ever learn to nip them in the bud and avoid resorting to violence almost all of the time?

Out of interest and to make it different from other questions on this theme, after your answer could you say if you consider yourself religous or not. That is, if it’s not apparent in your answer itself.

Cordova asked:

There is no question; you and I are responsible for the human suffering in the world. How do we stop it? I cannot stop thinking that I am allowing people to suffer. I feel we are all allowing people to suffer. How can we stop it? Is war the only thing that will bring world peace? I understand that even if every war were stopped people would still get into disputes and hurt one another, this I do not like but I will accept. But the children who die, the women who die. How can we stop this? I can’t even drive down the street without feeling bad. I do not feel bad because I have a car and a place to live I do not feel bad because others do not have these things, I feel bad because I am not doing anything to help the people of the world. Charity is not the answer. The solution requires us to get dirty. The peace loving people of the world must join together and fight the oppressors.

why human always want to be better than others, instead of world peace?

sunny asked:

I mean, the true purpose of living is happiness.
Now why do we seek happiness by competing with others, trying to take advantage of each others so we can appear better than them, or have a tiny bit more food than them.

Why do we still greed? Why is it that so few ppl realise, that human love and world peace give them much more joy and happiness than individual own self joys. I mean, don’t they feel bad that they have so much, whereis other ppl are crying?
the true purpose of life is not happiness? then what is it? achieving? learning?

to get to happiness in the end, ANYWAY

so i apology, my question should be like this: isn’t the purpose of life is to see happiness in the end?
